1895-2010 Bing & Grondahl 5-years Christmas Jubilee Plate

This 2010 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the first Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate in 1895. The motif of this 2010 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate comes from 1997 and awekes memories of the innocence of childhood and childlike expectation. The animals of the woods and forests look out from their hiding places, full of inquisitiveness, and the cildren look out too, excited about what awaits them. The title of this 2010 plate is Country Christmas and the plate was designed by Jorgen Nielsen. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee Plates were started in 1915 and are still being continued with a new Jubilee plate every fifth year which is manufactured in underglaze.
